Yellowstone: Who Plays a Young Lloyd? Forrest J. Smith

At Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, Lloyd has established himself as one of the most trustworthy ranch employees.

He has established himself as the Duttons’ reliable worker despite being the eldest member of the bunkhouse.

We see Lloyd throughout the flashback scenes because he has spent so much time at the property.

The similarities between Lloyd and the younger actor who portrays him have surprised many fans, but there is a legitimate reason for this.

Forrest Smith, the real-life son of Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, portrays young Lloyd in Yellowstone.

Forrest has continued his father’s acting career in his way. Forrest has only had one significant acting role to his name. However, he did previously star in a short film.
Forrest does not appear to have an Instagram account, despite Forrie being active there. Forrest doesn’t talk much about his personal life.

The Fifth Season of Yellowstone Will Star Forrest Smith

While Forrest only appeared in one episode of Yellowstone season 2, he returned in season five to play the young Lloyd. So far, he has made an appearance in the first three episodes of season five.

Young Lloyd sports a similar hairdo and handlebar mustache to older Lloyd in the season five premiere. There is no denying that the two are a father-son team due to their remarkable similarity.
In the first episode, we travel back 20 years to see young Beth and Rip. A rip is still a low man in the bunkhouse as Beth is preparing to leave for college.

Even all those years ago, Lloyd recognized that Beth was trouble. Not one positive thing occurs in town, Rip, Lloyd informs him as Rip prepares for a date with Beth. Nothing positive at all.
While a couple of characters with younger versions of themselves appear on Yellowstone, Forrie is the only actor to have his more youthful self be represented by his child.

For the Smiths, visiting Yellowstone has now turned into a family tradition. The bunkhouse is decorated with pictures and medals from Forrie’s time competing in rodeos, in addition to both Forrie and Forrest portraying Lloyd.
Actor Forrie J. Smith works in real life.

J. Smith is a skilled cowboy in addition to being an actor. He was raised by ranchers in Montana and has competed in rodeos all his life.

In the 1980s, Forrie started his career in Hollywood as a stuntman and horse trainer. Rambo III, Posse, The Young Riders, Tombstone, Troublemakers, Midnight Cowboy, and Seven Mummies are a few of the films he has contributed to.
