Whoopi Goldberg wants to be the host of Wheel of Fortune again after Pat Sajak said he would retire from the job after 40 years. When Jeopardy! Host Ken Jennings went on The View this morning, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked him what he thought about Pat Sajak’s announcement that he was leaving the show.

“Pat Sajak, another famous game show host, said he will leave Wheel of Fortune at the end of next season. What do you think about the news? Who do you think should replace him?” Griffin asked.

Griffin asks a question when Goldberg says, “I want that job.”

After Jeopardy’s “own succession crisis,” Jennings hoped that “Wheel has an envelope with instructions on what to do when the host leaves.”

Joy Behar said, “Whoopi wants that job,” and everyone laughed.

Goldberg said, “Yes, I want that job. I think it would be very entertaining.”

Behar also said, “Sara Haines and I could be Vanna White.” We’ll take turns going back and forth and pointing at the letters.”

Goldberg would be familiar with game shows because she was a producer on the 1998 reboot of Hollywood Squares, which became “center square.”

On Monday, Sajak said that after Season 41 of the broadcast game show Wheel of Fortune, he would step down as host.

“Well, now it’s time. Sajak said, “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which starts in September, will be my last.” “It’s been a great ride, and I’ll have more to say in the next few months. Thank you all so much. If nothing else, it will keep the clickbait sites busy!”
