Following his recent hospitalization, Frank Fritz needs breathing space, consistent with a health update shared by his former “American Pickers” co-star Mike Wolfe.
Wolfe, who co-hosted History’s antique-hunting reality show with Fritz, told People in a Monday statement that Fritz’s privacy during his recovery is crucial.
Update on Frank Fritz’s Health After He was Hospitalized
“We asked that everybody keeps Frank (in) their thoughts and prayers,” a representative for Wolfe told the outlet. “The most vital thing is that we allow him time to heal and give him the space to do so.”
A representative for Fritz had no updates on Fritz’s condition to share with USA TODAY.

Wolfe also addressed the rumors of tension between him and Fritz, who stopped appearing on “American Pickers” during Season 21.
“I have been very private in the past year regarding Frank’s life and the journey he’s been on. There has been plenty of opinions regarding mine and Frank’s friendship and the show,” Wolfe wrote. “Now isn’t the time to set the record straight. Now’s the time to pray for my friend.”
“American Pickers” follows antique hunters traveling around the country, rummaging through junkyards and attics for historical gems for resale. The series first aired on History in 2010 with Fritz and Wolfe as co-stars.
Wolfe confirmed Fritz would not be on the show in July 2021, writing that he would “miss Frank.”
“I pray for the absolute best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey,” Wolfe wrote.

However, Wolfe and Fritz share different accounts of Fritz’s absence. Fritz revealed to The Sun in July 2021 that he “didn’t leave the show,” and his future on “American Pickers” was uncertain.
“It’s up to the network whether I come on the show. It ain’t gonna affect me one bit,” Fritz said. “I finished shooting, then I had a little back surgery, and the pandemic came.”
While Wolfe expressed having an in-depth relationship with Fritz then, Fritz also told The Sun that he and his old co-star hadn’t spoken in two years.

“(Mike) knew my back was tousled, but he didn’t call me and ask how I used to be doing. That’s just how it’s,” he added.
“American Pickers” is currently airing its 23rd season with Wolfe, his brother Robbie Wolfe and antique shop manager Danielle Colby as co-stars.
