The White Lotus Season 2 Cast, Plot & Everything You Need To Know

HBO’s The White Lotus earned such positive reviews following its summer premiere that a second season. The film received the go-ahead, and it is now filming. They had only planned the limited series to run for one season. We can expect a third season can be expected if the creator of the show Mike White. This news came from HBO’s President of Programming Casey Bloys.

The White Lotus' Cast Tried 'So Hard Not to Laugh' When 1 Person Was Filming

Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Natasha Rothwell, Sydney Sweeney, Steve Zahn, Murray Bartlett, Jake Lacy, and Jennifer Coolidge were all part of the show’s stellar cast in Season 1. Also, they all received Emmy nominations for their performances. However, only Coolidge will return for Season 2 of the show to reprise her role as Tanya McQuoid.

White Lotus Shines At Emmy’s

So, with 20 nominations, they tied The White Lotus with Ted Lasso on AppleTV+ for second-most Emmy nominations this year behind HBO’s Succession (25). White Lotus actors received eight of the nominations. So, this number included three nominations for supporting actor limited/anthology series, including Steve Zahn (Mark Mossbacher), Jake Lacy (Shane Patton), and Murray Bartlett (Armond), as well as five nominations for supporting actresses for a limited series, including Connie Britton (Nicole Mossbacher), Alexandra Daddario (Rachel Patton), Natasha Rothwell (Belinda Lindsey), and Sydney Sweeney (Olivia Mossbacher).

Season 2 Cast And Plot

They filmed the season 1 at a Hawaiian resort. Now, they are filming Season 2 at Taormina, Italy. Season 2 finds Tanya McQuoid, a wealthy and complex character from Coolidge, travelling with Portia, her employee (Haley Lu Richardson). The filmed the series at the San Domenico Palace, a Four Seasons Hotel in Taormina.

Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, and Adam DiMarco are also part of the all-new White Lotus: Sicily cast. They play Bert Di Grasso, Dominic De Grasso, and Elbie Di Grasso – three men from different generations (old man, son, and grandson respectively) who travel together. Quentin, portrayed by Tom Hollander, is an English expat who is on holiday with his friends and nephew.

The new season will feature the married Couple Cameron and Daphne Babcock (Theo James and Meghann Fahy). Also, they are on vacation with another couple, Ethan Spiller (Will Sharpe) and his wife, Harper (Aubrey Plaza). Leo Woodall plays Jack, a captivating visitor staying at the White Lotus. So, according to Coolidge, White Lotus: Sicily feels entirely different and appears to be a whole other show. Let’s wait and watch what the next season holds for us.
