During a vehicle check on Sunday evening, officers from the Akron Police Department reportedly found more than 1,800 grams of marijuana.
Officers stopped a vehicle at around six in the evening for an equipment violation and reportedly smelt marijuana as they approached the car.
The presence of two bags of marijuana in plain view prompted the police to search the vehicle, as stated by the police.
In addition, the police discovered a total of $1,000 in cash.
The driver, who is 19 years old, is reportedly facing traffic tickets in addition to allegations of drug trafficking and drug possession, according to the police.
