Black comedy is getting more and more popular because it can start important conversations. Black comedy frequently addresses taboo or delicate subjects. Contemporary writers and filmmakers frequently use this technique to address social taboos.
And Sick Note on Sky One is only one of their efforts at black humor. The series, which is helmed by seasoned filmmaker Matt Lipsey, is structured in a way that respects the genre.
Although it tries to be darkly humorous, it manages to make its audience laugh while addressing a serious subject.
A global audience can watch the show on Netflix in addition to its primary network. The first broadcast took place on Sky One on November 7th, 2017.
Long before the start of the first season, in April 2017, the show was renewed and a second season was announced. The question at hand is whether or not Sick Note will return for a third season. Later, we’ll discuss that topic, but first, let’s quickly go over the show’s structure.
Sick Note Season 3 Renewal Status
Sick Note’s third season won’t be released. The dark comedy’s debut episode premiered on Sky One on November 7, 2017, and its final episode aired on August 16, 2018. It was renewed for a second season even before the first had aired.
Despite Sick Note’s 6.8 IMDB rating and 71% audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Sky One never revealed a Season 3 renewal. Since the final episode was almost three years ago, it is logical to infer that the show has been canceled.
After the events of the second season, the audience is still left with a lot of doubts about Daniel. Sick Note was sadly canceled before offering its viewers a satisfying conclusion. Whether Daniel ever accepted responsibility and changed his ways is something we’ll never know.

Sick Note Plot
Life may appear to be significantly simpler when we tell a lie. The reality is that when things get out of hand, you have no choice but to take whatever steps are necessary to keep the lie a secret, no matter how enticing it may be to believe that you can get away with uttering a white lie.
Netflix’s Sick Note offers a gripping story with this main idea in mind. Daniel Glass, the main character, has a history of lying. In addition to having a rocky relationship with his fiancée, he is in a dead-end job with an unforgiving boss (Kanye West).
Before receiving an oesophageal cancer diagnosis, Daniel’s life appeared to be beyond repair. He also had a shattered relationship, a dreadful career with no future, and no possibilities.
The better care Glass is receiving as knowledge of his sickness spreads inspires Daniel to live in the present. He finds a renewed resolve to keep living because of him, despite his displeasure at having to deal with a terminal condition.
Things take an unexpected turn when Daniel’s oncologist, Dr. Ian Glennis, tells him he was misdiagnosed and no longer needs to count his days. A malicious thought arises in Daniel’s mind as a result.
He has two options: he can go back to his unhappy life as it was, or he can keep believing that his condition is not serious. Daniel goes with choice number two.
His untruth, which at the moment seemed insignificant, started a chain reaction. He fabricates information to hide another fabrication, and so on. Because he can’t lie well, he ends up breaking the law. Feel what it would be like to be a fly on the wall when Daniel’s lies result in a tragic crime.

Sick Note Season 3 Release Date
After two excellent seasons, the Sick Note creators have decided to cancel the program. Netflix, a streaming goliath, confirmed the information and expressed its reluctance in renewing the program for a second season.
It happens very infrequently for a show to be canceled after two prosperous seasons. The movie’s director, Matt Lipsey, expressed his desire for a brighter conclusion.
Speculation has it that the show may soon return. Although season two was released roughly four years ago, it is plausible. There is very little chance that the series will return.
But right now, anything is still conceivable. It’s still possible for the show to be renewed for a third season provided there is sufficient enthusiasm from viewers. We’ll keep you informed of any updates, so don’t worry.
