Pittsburgh Steelers’ TJ Watt Marries Soccer Star Dani Rhodes in Cabo Ceremony

On July 9 during a magnificent wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker and soccer star Dani Rhodes exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family. Several wedding guests, including TJ’s brothers JJ Watt and Derek Watt, who also play in the NFL, posted videos and photographs from the ceremony.

Watt and Rhodes have subsequently posted numerous photos and videos on their Instagram Stories, the majority of which were taken by colleagues and friends who attended the couple’s wedding.

The Instagram stories showcased oceanfront vistas and numerous tender moments from the extravagant wedding. Watt was voted the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in January; hence, this year has been filled with significant achievements for the sportsman. 

His now-wife, Rhodes, played for the National Women’s Soccer League’s Chicago Red Stars. In fact, athleticism runs in the family. Watt is the youngest of three NFL-playing brothers. Before the wedding, the three are shown having fun in Mexico while wearing vibrantly printed clothing.

In a clip provided to Derek’s Instagram Stories, Dani and TJ performed their first dance as a married couple, with the inscription “D & T 09072022” written on the rocks behind them. The bride was stunning in a floor-length white lace gown, while the groom maintained his elegance in a black tuxedo with a white dress shirt underneath.

After the wedding, TJ posted images of himself and his wife posing on the beach and at the altar with the remark “Best day of my life.”

His brother JJ remarked, “Incredible day!!! “, and former NFL player Justin Hunter posted, “Congratulations Tj, you guys look great!”

In July of last year, the Steelers player announced his engagement to Dani by posting a selfie of himself on one knee with the statement, “I am the luckiest man on earth!!” The former Chicago Red Stars player also announced her engagement on Instagram by posting “YES. YES. YES” alongside a ring emoji.

In the comments area of his post, close friends and fans expressed their love and support for the newlyweds, including the Steelers, who wrote “Congratulations @tjwatt90 @dani rhodes15” with a yellow and black heart, which represents their club colors.

The Arizona Cardinals’ defensive end also gave his Instagram Story followers a taste of the sumptuous reception. “Unbelievable. JJ shared a photograph of TJ and his bride dancing beneath a spotlight at their wedding.
