Jeopardy! Fans are not keeping their opinions of the rumored permanent hosts to themselves. The executive producer of the show Michael Davies issued a formal statement confirming the news that Jeopardy! Guest hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings will permanently divide hosting duties.
On social media, game show viewers are currently debating the two hosts, and the responses are varied. A little of the Jeopardy! Fans are completely happy that Bialik and Jennings are still splitting hosting duties. A watcher tweeted the news: “The two current @Jeopardy hosts are very fun, we enjoy them.

Another viewer said: “Good for them & the show. They both do perfectly fine jobs & have their own strengths. Still upset at the show for A) making it feel like the guest host thing was a try out; and B) the debacle of Richards. But the show is about the game & contestants, not the host. Trebek knew that.”

However, many other Jeopardy! Fans obviously do not share this optimistic viewpoint, with many arguing on social media about whether Jennings or Bialik is more qualified for the position. Some people are even determined to disrupt Jeopardy! until one is taken off.

Both sides of the argument have passionate supporters, with one declaring, “I would rather watch reruns that I’ve seen multiple times than watch Ken Jennings host new episodes of @Jeopardy,” while another commented, “That’s a shame that Jeopardy keeps Mayim on as host. I watch only when Ken Jennings is on. I don’t care for Mayim.”
In the past, Jeopardy! Viewers have been particularly critical of Bialik, with the actor making comments about the “passionate” viewers who criticize her beauty and other things online. Who people want to be the show’s permanent host was the subject of a TV Insider survey in April.
With more than 29,000 votes, Jennings received almost 70% of the vote, while Bialik received roughly 30%. Fans will have to get accustomed to seeing both Bialik and Jennings on television despite the passionate opinions of fans, as it appears that Sony plans to keep both hosts in the long run.
