At age five, she traveled with her family to Japan, where she resided for seven years until returning to the United States. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Career
Prior to participating in eating events, Sudo had won a pho-eating contest. In 2014, when she entered Major League Eating for the first time, she was the top female contender. In 2015, she was ranked third.
The 2014 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest was won by Sudo. She set a record for women by consuming 48.5 hotdogs and buns in 10 minutes. If she had had additional time, she would have consumed more than 48 hot dogs.
