Home Before Dark was created by Dana Fox and Dara Resnik for Apple TV+. Hilde Lisko, a young reporter, travels to her hometown of Erie Harbor to learn what’s happening there. The dedicated detective is able to uncover truths that many adults have not been able to locate with the aid of her friends and her journalist father. Hilde seems to be particularly adept at cracking crimes from the past, and in season 2, she faces off against a business that has long supported her community.
Since the conclusion of season 1, fans have been anticipating some major revelations at the end of the season. Most of the mysteries appear to have been resolved, but as season 2 comes to a conclusion, our teenage reporter is on the verge of a brand-new, terrifying case. If you’re wondering if we’ll ever figure out what the new mystery is, you’ve come to the correct spot. Here is all we know so far about Home Before Dark’s third season.
Home Before Dark Season 3 Renewal Status
Home Before Dark’s third season has not yet been officially announced. But HITC is confident that the program will return. There are many topics to discuss in the newest season. We will discuss it if this occurs.
What Has Happened in Home Before Dark So Far?
A young American journalist called Hilde Lisko is the subject of the narrative. She once contributed to a tiny publication called Orange Street News. Hilde investigates the case of Richie, a boyhood friend of her father’s that the community, including Hilde’s father Matt, had buried, during the course of the series.
Hilde learns from Carol Collins that Richie and her brother were held hostage during the first season. Zeke Miller was the one who came up with the plan to kidnap Richie. But Richie strikes back at Zeke and stabs him.
When Zeke was transporting Richie’s body in the van when it fell into the lake, he told his sister that Richie had passed away. Thus, no one was aware of it. However, when the van was located, Richie’s body was not there. There was simply his shoe in its place. Hilde, therefore, believed that Richie might still be alive.
In the second season, Richie is leading a tranquil life in Vancouver, Canada. Richie and Arthur’s father learned that SDtrata Tech was disposing of cadmium trash close to the house. They protested what was happening by speaking out. Richie and his father’s actions were discovered by the firm, putting their lives at risk. Arthur was the one who requested Richie be taken and safely sent away from the town by Zeke. Richie, however, killed Zeke and felt guilty about it; as a result, he never returned to town.
Hilde concludes by stating that there won’t be any more Richie Fife pieces. Additionally, she is attempting to land an internship at The Washington Gazette. We also observe Hilde and her buddy arrive at the crime scene. She recognizes the location where she dropped her murder case notebook. She also wants to know how it got there and who took it.

Before Dark Season 3 Plot
In Season 2, Hilde faces off against Strata Tech, a major business with a long history in Erie Harbor. Contrary to what the majority of people believed, the corporation was actually harming the residents of the town by contaminating it. Hilde discovers that Strata Tech has committed a number of evil deeds over the years as she begins her research. Hilde and her family are even more motivated to seek justice because the company’s unethical actions also harm her grandfather, Sylvester.
The Lisko family ultimately rallies the community against the haughty head of Strata Tech at the end of the second season. The boss is then taken into custody. The teenage reporter is shocked to discover that her diary has been marked as evidence in a new case when Hilde and her companions arrive at a crime scene in the season’s last scene.
If there is a third season, Hilde will probably investigate the recent murder in her little community. She will quickly find herself in the middle of everything because her diary is a piece of proof.
However, because it is a murder investigation, the grownups will likely withhold a lot of information from the young reporter. Her inquiry will become even more interesting as a result. Hilde and her colleagues will enhance their journalism even more if the show is renewed for a third season because they now have a police scanner.

Home Before Dark Season 3 Trailer
The Home Before Dark season trailer hasn’t been released yet, so we don’t know when it will. We haven’t heard anything regarding the TV show being renewed for a third season two years after season 2 debuted. There is a remote possibility that the program won’t get a third season and that the trailer won’t be released.
How Many Episodes of Home Before Dark Are There?
There are a total of 20 episodes.
Home Before Dark Season 3 Release Date
Beginning on Apple TV+ on June 11, 2021, Season 2 of Home Before Dark ran till August 13, 2021. Each of the 10 episodes of the second season runs for between 41 and 57 minutes.
A third season of the show has not yet been officially confirmed, at least not in any official capacity. It’s obvious that Apple and the program’s creators have a well-thought-out strategy for the future of the show because season 2 was authorized before season 1 was even released.
We hope that season 3 will soon receive the green light because season 2 fared well with viewers and received positive reviews. However, the plot can be based on a lot of different sources, which is another reason why the program should be revived for a third season. (and maybe more seasons in the future)
