The universe of the video game Jumanji is about to change. The only question is when.
It seems to sense that the Jumanji movies, which are among the most popular Hollywood blockbusters, would get a sequel to a sequel.
Dwayne Johnson and the rest of the cast’s 2017 film “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” brought in more than $800 M globally.
The sequel, “Jumanji: The Next Level,” was released two years after the first movie due to its popularity.
If you include the fantasy film from 1995, there are presently three Jumanji movies.
But this piece will focus on the Dwayne Johnson movie franchise.
We’ll keep calling the impending sequel Jumanji 3 as director Jake Kasdan uses that term himself.
When Does ‘Jumanji 3’ Come Out?
We anticipate the third movie will come out in the same month as the previous two, which were released in December.
The movies “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Jumanji: The Next Level” was released on December 20, 2017, and December 13, respectively.
This tendency led us to predict that the third movie will also be released in December 2022.
However, a 2022 release date is somewhat optimistic since the movie was still in its very early production phases as of April last year.
In April 2022, Kasdan told Collider, “We’re just beginning to speak about all of the stuff, and the fact is we’ve just begun [on the picture].”
Before the outbreak, the director said, they had only begun talking about the third one; they would “re-engage it as soon as everyone’s settled.”
Hiram Garcia, Dwayne Johnson’s producing partner, revealed in August 2021 through Collider that they are still working on the movie.
“That’s on the agenda as well! We’re committed to presenting that narrative in its most refined light, “added Garcia.
“Naturally, when you’re lucky enough to reunite a squad for the third time, you want to hit the ground running. It’s crucial for us to satisfy the fans’ expectations while also advancing the Jumanji tale. Therefore, we are digging deep and working closely with our authors, the film’s director Jake [Kasdan], and our partner in production on this, Matt [Tolmach].”
Producer Hiram Garcia said that after “Red One” production is over, they will begin shooting the second Jumanji in December.
Production on “Jumanji 3” has not yet begun as of June 2022.
