Mike Judge created the adult cartoon series Beavis and Butthead, which airs on Cartoon Network in the United States. Slackers Beavis and Butthead, who are both voiced by Judge, are the core of the series, which depicts the apathy, lack of intelligence, and love of alternative rock that characterize these two teenagers. Mike Judge understands exactly what he’s doing; Beavis and Butt-Head were both satire and a direct celebration of the great id, with the two so intimately intertwined that it was impossible to distinguish between them. In the past 25 years, so much has changed, but Beavis and Butt-Head have not.
New Beavis And Buttheads Movie Release Date
Here’s some good news for Beavis and Butt-Head fans. Beavis and Butt-Head return in a trailer for an upcoming film that debuted this month. It is titled Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe and was released via Paramount+ on June 23. The return of Mike Judge’s classic combo debuted internationally on the Paramount streaming service. It was the duo’s first public appearance in almost a decade. Later this year, a new Beavis and Butthead series will also premiere.
Early this year, Mike Judge provided a preview of what the two might look like now, middle-age spread and all. It’s not clear yet if this look into the future will be in the next movie or TV show, but it’s possible that they will meet this different version of the future.
Beavis and Butt-Head are dabbling in science fiction, and Judge said that their new picture may easily “top all future lists of the Dumbest Science Fiction Films Ever Made.”
Two of television’s most iconic idiots are back
Mike Judge, narrate, produce, and direct the film, which starred two dimwitted characters serving their juvenile sentences at a space colony. They succeed there and are invited to join the space voyage, but they destroy it and are presumed dead. They finally go through a black hole from 1998 to 2022, where they meet a version of themselves from a different time.
The characters first appeared in Judge’s 1992 short film Frog Baseball, which was aired on MTV’s animation program Liquid Television. After MTV commissioned a whole series based on the characters, Beavis and Butt-Head aired for seven seasons between March 8, 1993, and November 11, 1997. The series was renewed for an eighth season that aired on MTV from October 27, 2011, to December 29, 2011, but was again cancelled following the conclusion of the season. On Paramount+, a second revival with an initial two-season order is slated to premiere.
Comedy Central announced the renewal for two more seasons on July 1, 2020. The first of these seasons is scheduled to debut on Paramount+ in July 2022, following the debut of the second Beavis and Butthead film on the same platform. The new season of the show aired from October 27 to December 29, 2011, and repeats ran until August 2, 2013.
What about the Upcoming Movies?
A special sneak peeks teaser of the series will appear during the MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday. In addition to the feature, Paramount+ will roll out more “Beavis and Butt-Head” material for the rest of the year. At a date that hasn’t been set, the whole original series will be put on the streamer, and a new revival series is set to start by the end of the year.
Today, it’s difficult to find guilelessness in comedy or anywhere else; we’re all so damn knowledgeable all the time. Allow Beavis and Butthead to make a difference.
