The star played a small role on Shortland Street in the early 90s and began his professional acting career with guest appearances on Gina: Warrior Princess and Hercules. Starr appeared for several weeks, as part of Minnie Crozier’s character writing, but then he hated the show’s fast pace and felt his performance suffered from his attitude. Since then, Starr has starred in the children’s series Hard Out, P.E.T.
